Cyber Wars

In Cyber War by Patricia Smith she asking reader are they’re facing a Cyber Pearl Harbor that could wreak havoc on our computer networks and our live. I think this is the main idea because U.S.A enemies are not fighting with bombs but with technology.

Articles talk about how a Virus attacked the U.S.A computers and they don’t know if it came from Iran or china. In the story it said “You don’t have to be sophisticated to do a lot of damage”. That quote stood out to me because, it’s right you don’t have to be smart to do damage, just do it.

I personally have my ups and downs with people but I don’t go around starting a cyber-war or worst a bomb/gun war. I don’t like you I won’t say nothing to you, but if you do something to me you have forced my hand to do something back. That is what I think the United States have be going by lately they tried to kill our computers, now we’re going to destroy their bombs and missiles. Ash me I think they need to put aside their difference and be a team, we our one.

I can draw and inference towards this, I remember I was on and email and somebody send me this message saying hi you won a free WII go claim your prize before it’s too late. I clicked the link under the picture it took me to this web site that didn’t have not on their but space to put where I lived. Soon my computer start acting slow and detected a virus, I got it cleaned but now I know not to click anymore links that sound and look suspicious.

Choice Blog

Mexico reports more than 26,000 missing by CNN in the story it tells how more than 26,000 people are missing and it's crime related and some no records of they disappearance.

Something that really stood out to me in the story I when it said, "More than 26,000 people have gone missing in Mexico over the past six years as violence surged and the country's government cracked down on drug cartels".
This also stood out to me In the story in said, "officials reported nearly 2,000 disappearances between 2006 and 2012".

Personally I never thought of people I know going missing, or dying. I fear of people that is close to me pasting away or being kidnapped over something dumb. I feel bad for all those family that got to live with they son, brother, daughter, mom, dad, or best friend going missing.

I can draw and inference toward my friend when everybody and they mom was looking for her. First they thought she ran away, but after calling her phone thousand of time a man picked up. Second they thought she got kidnapped they called the police and everything, but really she was on her way home, she had stayed over a friends house and lose track of time.
To sum it all up into one a lot of people from Mexico are going missing and nobody has and answer yet.

Sugar Wars !

Sugar Wars By Veronica Majerol, the main idea of this article is that American in New York are getting over weight with sugar and other stuff that's not good for you or your body.

Something that really stood out to me is when it said if Mayor Micheal Bloomberg of New York had it his way Movie-theaters, restaurants, and etc won't be able to offer sodas or any other sugary drinks larger than 16 ounces. Mayor Bloomberg said, "obesity is a nationwide problem."
The government wants to protect them but people think it's stupid. Justin Wilson said, "Fundamentally, I don't think we need the government to protect us from ourselves."

I personally think soda is good but not good for you. Soda makes you brake out and gets you fat especially when you order the jumbo size cup. A lot of Americans are becoming obese because it's not enough working out and more of people stopping at the store or fast food restaurant and ordering the biggest meal they got.

My dad don't let us get over weight I remember when I was big and loved eating but when I start playing sports and running track I slim down. Every time we go to Mc.Donald, Checkers, or any fast food restaurants we wasn't allowed to get any drink. My mom would say y'all got water in the house and healthy drinks that goes great with y'all food and good for you.

Valentines day or Not

Historically Incorrect Canoodling by Stephanie Coontz is really based on how love is a big part in Valentines day then it was in the late 1800's when they didn't believe in sex or marriages.

What really caught my attention was when Coontz said, "for thousand of years, love, passion and marriage were considered rare and usually undesirable combination." and she followed up with, "Valentines day was originally created by the Roman Catholic Church as a limited on sexual passion. Even though young people centuries later turned the holiday into an occasion to celebrate romantic love and sexual attraction."

I think it's better now then back in the 1800's because American can show there love and romantic side. I wouldn't even want to limited sex if I was older and had a wife and wanted to take her out for valentines.

For this valentines my dad took my mom out and gave her cards and made her feel special, I told them where valentines originated from and the true meaning of the day valentines. They didn't believe me until I looked it up for them, they was to hype saying all you smart and stuff. They went out to eat and had a ball. I'm happy for them though.

Minorities in the U.S

The New Face of America, by Veronica Majerol the main idea of this is that for the first time more minorities are being born in the U.S than whites. Meaning minorities can over number whites.

In the story is said they going to collectively out number the whites because more nonwhites are being born in the United States. This quote really stood out because some people think it's good and some disagree Jessica Ramirez was born to a Colombian mother and a Mexican father but she grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and she rarely though of herself as a minority. She said, “The school I went to was predominantly Latino…So I just felt that I was normal.”

I personally think it’s good, a lot of cultures are being born in the U.S because its mixed color so we can have an idea how other people lived and do thing. There are a lot of whites I though there were more blacks than white but studies show that white have a bigger population in the United States. The only reason why minorities are increasing because people from all over enter the U.S and have babies. I notice a lot of different cultures as I explore philadelphia.

I can draw a conclusion that there will be less whites and blacks if different cultures keep being born in the United States of America.
