No Memorial 2012

No Memorial Day 2012 by Sylvia Mohr in Memorial Day has been ignored by too many of us who are beneficiaries of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. Often we do not observe the day as it should be, a day where we actively remember our ancestors, our family members, our loved ones, our neighbors, and our friends who have given the ultimate sacrifice.
You can appreciate memorial day by visiting cemeteries and placing flags or flowers on the graves of our fallen heroes, visiting memorials, by flying the U.S. Flag at half-staff until noon, by renewing a pledge to aid the widows, widowers, and orphans of our falled dead, and to aid the disabled veterans. Also I shows that you have respect for you hero and soldiers today.
I think the topic is important for everyone to read and show respect and honor for your ancestors. People don't really know how good they got it because we had people that fought for our rights and our freedom. without Martin Luther King we probably still be getting miss-treated, if it wasn't for Abraham Lincoln , Us black people would still be slave. I really am thankful for all my hero's gave up for me. And if I was to met one it would make my day.
I can relate this article to myself because I'm really into history I remember me telling my sister a story about Rosa Parks and I told her how she refuse to move from the front of the bus because she was tired plus sick of being miss-treated , and Rosa Parks got arrested and sent to jail that when Martin Luther King Jr started the boycott. The article really made me think deeply about my ancestors and my choices.

    1. Your third and fourth paragraphs are strong, but your summary just copies several sentences from the article. When you summarize, always use your own words. If you quote from the article, be sure to put in quotation marks. 75
